It's about two girls who meet on a train to Tokyo and they realize that they're both 20, are named Nana, and are moving to Tokyo. One's moving to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend the other is rock/punk and is moving to Tokyo to make it big as a vocalist in a band. The anime follows the band and also both Nana's relationships...

It's about a guy who lives a plain life and thinks that life will always be as boring and bad as it is at the moment and then he meets Ryusuke and eventually joins his band. The anime follows them through the creating of the band, the first gig they have, their first cd, etc...There's also a storyline with Koyuki (the guy) and Maho, who's Ryusuke's sister.

It's about a band named Lucifer and how the band got started and how the convinced the incredibly talented singer to join their band. The manga, be warned, is rather different than the anime since the manga seems way more shojo vs. shounen.
